Hey all, we just about have the duster on the street. Title tags and insurance is all now. but we have a little puddle of red stuff that just wont go away. Today I got pissed enough to get under it and take a longgggg look. Its not the pan as we just changed the gasket again. Is the small plug thing on the back of the transmission. Its a 727 on a 360. I dont know what the darn thing is but its a leaker. Any ideas as what to do with it to get it to stop? JB sounds good to me, but I need to know if putting it in a position that it wone move for any reason...will it do something else inside the tranny it I make it where it wont move with JB? Hope you understand. In the pics its the small roiund plug thing just above the pan with the red stuff leaking out hahah. We lose about 1/2 quart a day from it. From just setting for the most part.

I would just clean the area up with some brake clean and put some silicone over it and let it sit overnight. That is the pivot pin for the rear band apply linkage. The pivot pin has a o-ring on it to seal it, over the years the o-ring gets hard and it leaks. It is often over looked during a rebuild. Hope this helps.

Thats what I thought I could do. I just needed to make sure it didnt go in or out for some silly reason...thanks.

you may want to jack the rear of the car up to allow the sealer to dry. its an easy fix if you decide to fix it the right way
