Hey now you just need a trailer and maybe an A body...

Precisely what I think! Lol I just wish it had the lights on top the cab

I got a yellow light bar for emergency trucks....If interested I will take pics...It at my shop.
Congrats on your new ride.

Extra cab (crew cab) 3/4 tun :tongue9: Outstanding find :thumbrig:

a 360 rv in it

It does have the 360/4 speed granny. Not sure about the diff yet. I'll have to look tomorrow

One question. The engine is overfilled with oil. Could that cause the oil pressure light come on at an idle?......

God I hope so. I filled it up and drove 75 miles. The needle didn't move
Must be stuck ...... LOL

Maybe the reason it is overfilled is because the light was coming on.

Best to change oil & filter, fill correctly, if light still flickers install a manual gauge to see for sure what the pressure is.

My guess high mile engine and a weak oil pump

Idiot lights will come on at low pressure but might still be enough to lube it.

GM had that problem in the 60s when the cars were new

no it wouldnt cause the light to come on.

please say you didnt buy this truck with oil pressure light coming on.

check the sender. get a manual oil pressure gauge on it asap.

It didn't start it until I was almost home. Letting it idle in the parking lot when I was looking at it, it didn't come on. I was 75 miles from point of origin when it started....

The only song I can think of that fits this truck. Glad for you Chuck

Did you drive it before buying it?

Get an oil pressure gauge on it right away and see what you got for oil pressure.
(even an aftermarket oil gauge will do)
The light could be flickering from a bad oil pressure switch,or slugged motor clogging pickup oil screen, weak oil pump or much worst if main bearings and cam bearings are worn...

I did drive it and let it idle in the parking lot for 20min. Also stopped at several lights on the way home. It wasn't till the last one that the light flickered. When going down the road, it goes out. Hopefully I didn't screw myself for the first time

I was really surprised that the motor sounds so good. No lifter ticks or nothin

Hey,Could just be a oil pressure switch....Cheap fix.
Oil change is in order, maybe they put some cheap oil or too light viscosity like 5w30....
Some good Castrol 10w40 for your climate, probably fix ya up...
Wish you luck.

Thanks guys. I hope that's all it is.... I know everyone gets screwed at least once in their life, but I would rather get screwed when I have another vehicle to fall back on
