Got some L2355 .060 over 440 Pistons. Considering switching to hi-comp pistons as it appears the best I can do is about 10-1. Since this is a race only motor would you go with L2295's instead? Looks like it would take the motor from 10-1 to 12-1. Looking for 500-550hp. Have mildly ported 906's. Considering some aftermarket heads.

If you are considering aftermarket heads, compare the cc volume of heads to your 906's. I would pick the head you want first, then get the piston to make the CR that you want. If you get the piston first, a new head may have smaller volume & boost CR too high.

you have to watch piston to valve on those domed trw style pistons.they need relifs cut in them for a big cam .....

With fuel prices and cam tec a pump gas engine is my idea with lower compression.Have you looked at Probe? Some of my friends use them in Fords and Chevys run in the 9's and cruise around
