Got it running!! But filter adapter is leaking :(

Got the engine installed and running. No knocks from the old bearings so far lol.
The machine shop that did the heads for me supplied a complete gasket kit for me too, one of those fits all EngineTech kits for 273,318,360 etc but it didn't include the small gaskets for the hollow filter adapter bolt. The old small gasket between the housing and block is too crispy to crush any more so I need a new one for sure. The adapter is leaking pretty bad so I'd like to get the proper gaskets for it. I have the number for the large o-ring to replace the paper gasket but I can't find the numbers for the two small ones. Anybody know.

No O-ring in the original gasket set. Not sure how well the O-ring will work. Original kits are available with all necessary gaskets. Ebay or wherever. Less than $20. That's what I'm running on my 340 and my 360. No leaks.

This one is more expensive, but claims not to have a "cheap plastic gasket"

They're out there. Shop around and take your pick.
