Got it started,but what a noise ???

We finally got my sons 360 started this morning ,first time firing up the rebuilt motor. It started up with out any problems but we have a hell of a noise coming from the flywheel-flexplate area. We shut it down imediately I dont think we installed the flex plate wrong,but what else could it be ?
 
One or all of the flex plate bolts might be a tad to long. Have you inspected that area with a drop light?
 
Did you put the inspection cover on? If so, was it bent at all? I've seen the converter bolts hit the inspection cover before. It makes a horrible noise.
 
We removed the inspection plate cover ,restarted engine and the noise was gone, engine is still pretty rattly but we haven got it timed yet so I think we are ok for now. more to come...
