Well the only time I ever have that happen is when Im taking something iron headed apart and forget the drain pan lol

I'm guessing aluminum heads exhaust bolt holes don't go into a water passage?

So I am looking forward and feel a lot more confident about going to track. I do have a wideband I need to install and I'll probably add a WB gauge to the dash. Just for a quick glance while in 3rd gear.

There will be some elevation differences between race tracks so the gauge will be a sanity check.
