I had a great day today, my two sons and left town about 930 am to head down island to a little town called Coombs on Vancouver island, I was out front in my 56 Dodge short box utiline followed by my youngest son in his 70 Duster, followed by my oldest son in his 80 Dodge short box utiline. It was about a 45 min drive down the coast .I built my truck from a rusted hulk I rescued from a Airforce base many years ago, my one son and I built his Duster we rescued from a barn that mice had made a home in , and my other son purchased his truck in a very deteriorating shape after leaving a note on the windshield one day when he was still in high school. ( He is in his mid thirties now ) I worked on both the boys rides to bring them back to life, they’re not showroom rides but they are nice and fun to drive. All three have small blocks and A833 trans. We parked them all together amongst 112 other really nice Mopars Everything from a beautiful 60,s Belvedere with the long horn cross ram dual fours to a big block to a AAR cuda, a 70 Dart with a 440 six pack and four speed, lil Red trucks x 3 ( I love those ) and many more amazing Mopars. It was the 9th year for this show which is all done on a shoestring budget by the hard work of a few devoted Mopar fans including a member here 70dartmike that is the spearhead of this show. Thanks Mike for putting this all together and for a great day of talking Mopar. My green 56 beside my sons Duster and my other sons 80 plus a couple of the gorgeous Belvedere which I believe was owned by a lady.
Looks like a great turnout!
