Hi all, I have been lurking the forum for several months and can now post since I got my car back. I bought this car from a nice gentlemen from South Carolina. It was for sale on Facebook marketplace. Never thought I'd buy a car from Facebook, but I talked to the guy and he was nice and informative about the car. I bought it in December of 2021, and had to have a few things done so it could pass inspection here in Delaware. Took it to a local shop in January of 2022. Long story but I finally got the car back after being in the shop for a year and a half...whew.

Anyways these are the stats on the car when I bought it.

1974 Plymouth Duster
Engine 383 0.30 over
Edelbrock E-Street Aluminum Heads
Xtreme Energy COMP Cam - 507/510
Single Plane Holley Intake with Holley 750 carb
Less than 500 miles on the engine since rebuild
Around 10:1 Compression
Schumaker A-Body Big Block conversion kit with tri-Y headers

Transmission:
727 3 speed automatic
Cheetah reverse manual valve body
Hughes Pro-Street 3000 stall convertor

Interior:
Recovered front bench seat
New carpet
New door panels
Recovered bottom rear seat
Original top rear seat
New factory correct dash pad

Exterior:
Dual snorkel hood scoop
Mopar rear spoiler
Weld racing draglite wheels
Nitto 275/60/15 rear tires
Hancook 195's up front
Color: Speed Orange
8.25 open rear end
Rebuilt disc and drum brakes
New fuel tank
All new fuel lines and brake lines
New wiring harness
Air shocks.

Parts I had installed during that year a half....with several hiccups of fitment issues, parts delayed, etc.

-New instrument cluster/gauges from Classic Instruments
-New floor mounted B&M Quicksilver rachet shifter
-Seat belts
-Horn
-Windshield Wiper motor
-Windshield Wiper (under dash) components
-Borgenson 14:1 quick ratio power steering setup
-Flaming River tilt steering column

*Parts that were found to be in need of a replacement while at the shop.
-U Joint-rear
-U Joint clamp kit
-Thermostat Housing Gasket
-Thermostat
-Pitman Arm
-PVC Valve
-Side Market Sockets
-Radiator hose replaced

I have done some research on the cars history. She was originally a Lucerne Blue Duster with a white side stripe, white vinyl top, white rear stripe. Powered by a 318 with column shift. I doubt it had a snorkel scoop from the factory. A couple of chips on the orange dash show blue, as well as some blue in the engine bay where a part was covering the original paint. One of the previous owners wanted to turn the car into a drag car. So, no speakers, heater/ac, radio. Car still needs a headliner too.

Current 383 engine is a 1968 383 2bbl.

What car it came out of I don't know.

I have no idea what kind of horsepower and torque the engine is currently making, any ballpark figures? I do know that the 8.25 rear isn't up to snuff. I want a Strange S60 in the near future. I am also looking to upgrade the brakes all around. The car also needs new tires upfront as they are dry rotted and the rear tires rub, so that needs to be addressed.

I have to say the title of your post intrigued me, and then your member name scared the HELL out of me! My son's name is Zachary Hall. Did I die and I'm not aware of my own passing? :D

Nice car you have there!

Welcome from metro-Detroit!
