I have a braided steel wire ground strap that goes somewhere on the car. I saw a vendor list it as a "trans ground strap". Does anyone have any idea where this strap is supposed to go?

I have the 10ga wire ground from the firewall to the cylinder head, and there is also a smaller, possibly 14ga wire that goes to the wiper motor. I have no idea where this braided ground should go, but to clarify, it has one 3/8" lug on one end, and a 5/16" lug on the other end. It is aprox 12" long.

Thanks in advance,
George

George: I always thought the braided one goes from the engine to the firewall. The #10 you speak of is for something else i think. Look at some other original cars in your area and see what's on theirs.

George, Im pretty sure you should only have one ground from the bacl of the passenger side head to the fire wall.

70 and later would only have the extra ground off of the negative battery cable I believe.
