I'm putting a slant 6 back in my 72 scamp and am wondering where the ground strap from the engine is supposed to go. does it matter where I strap it to on the firewalll or will anything metal work?

On my slant. I have the battery to block ground. Battery to body ground near the radiator support. and a block to body ground from a bolt in the block to the body.

mine attaches to the body just to the left of that passenger side cross support deal

Any place on the firewall is fine.
