Guage cluster removal

I am trying to remove the guage cluster from my 70 dart and am having difficulty. The slot in the dash is probably only 4 inches tall and i can't pull the guages out because the speedometer hits. I tried to tip them out but that doesn't seem to work either. Can anyone tell me how to do this?

If you unbolt the steering column at the bottom of the dash, and at the firewall inside, you should gain the room to tilt the gauge cluster out.
