I recently hooked up my guages and started up the motor. The guages were bottomed out for approx. 30 seconds and then went right to the top. I shut the motor off and feel it is my voltage regulator. I have a mild 340 with a Pertronix Ignition Kit that converts the points system because I wanted the stock look. Do I have to use a mechanical voltage regulator or can I use an electronic one? If I can use the electronic one has any one tried the FBO Systems Electronic Regulator that looks like the mechanical original?
How about the voltage limiter that you install from(www.RT-eng.com) Real Time Engineering that stops your dash harness from burning up? Has anyone used this it sounds great and I ordered one.
