Had to share with someone, motorcycle progress

[Backtobasics]

I bought my first bike a few weeks back.
84 Kawasaki Gpz550. Plans are hard tail, and ride.

I made some progress on it last night, and have to share with someone.

Rotors, Caliper Brackets, Calipers, and overall shot.

As of now, engine and trans are out, and bare frame awaits pressure washing, and fabrication. Plans are to hard tail the rear, black the frame, wrinkle black with sanded fins on the engine, and viper blue on the tank, fenders for an accent color.

Very nice, I had a kz750 and had to sell it cuz it didnt agree with my back. I was going to powder coat the frame and was surprised at how cheap it was...I think somewhere around $200 to p/c it. Keep us posted with pics

Looks good but why a hard tail? These pretty darn good handling bikes and I don't see the reasoning behind the modification. JMO is all and I wish you well on the build.
