Salutations to all!

I hope this post finds everyone well, I just wanted to type up a little intro and say that I am excited to be joining FABO and becoming a part of the community.
I am in my early 20's and have not had the most experience with working on vehicles up until this point, however I am looking to change that with the purchase of a 1966 Dart from a nice gentlemen south of me. With the few days that I have owned this car I am extremely pleased with my decision and look forward to maintaining and improving the vehicle until its good as new.
All I've done so far is just a simple repacking of the bearings, an oil change, and an inspection of all the mechanical tidbits, they weren't lying when they said that the slant six is reliable, she runs like a dream even after all this time!
The things I've got scheduled to be done is the installation of new ball joints, fixing up the gauge cluster along with the wiper switch, and the installation of a new thermostat for the choke!
I'll drop a few pictures, feel free to ask any questions/comments!

Welcome. What a peach of a little car. Is that an air horn on the inner fender?
 
That is a sweet little ride. Great choice with the 66. Valve cover indicates original slanty in there.

Yup! One of the previous owners slapped a dixie horn in there, its a little wheezy but it gets some good laughs from my buddies.
After doing some testing, I found that one of the two original horns still works. I might replace the broken one and wire it back up in the future so I can have a proper horn in the future.

Do research on best balljoints tobuy, as many on here have had problems with the ones from auto parts stores, as quality has declined apparently.
They're mounted to the steering arm and replaced as a unit with tie rod joint.
Many say to replace the bolts that bolt it to the spindle, too.

I've done a pretty good reading while preening the forums! I've heard that Moog and Ac Delco are pretty reliable, at least in this department.

I am tempted to get this full front suspension rebuild kit from A-Resto Parts. The set looks nice, has all I need plus extra. I just haven't heard much about the company itself. The 300 dollar price tag looks a little too good to be true as well!
 

Others like PST have kits & you can upgrade tie rods to C-Body(New Yorker etc) parts for heavier duty (less deflection) under harder cornering, that you might expect or want.
Seen complaints of Moog quality.
Ball joints available HD, someone here knows the name of company.

Right on! Thank you for the advice, I'll be making a choice pretty soon; hoping to get things done by the end of the month!
 
Many here recommend Pro Forged parts, and just as many said avoid Moog (used to be good but turned into ****). I decided to get all PF. Heard some good words for MevoTech or something like that.
Welcome, awesome car, enjoy it. It will need a little more than a Honda, but that’s how to learn some things and drive something people will ask about.
