Hey guys, finally got the casting numbers off my heads. I found 3418915C and 04160 for #'s. So far I know they are J heads from a 340? I think? Maybe someone can give me a more difinative answer. Any pro's con's to these heads on a 360? Thanks, Eric

Eric, those are excellent heads for a 360. I've been running a set on my 360 for the past several years and they work great. You might want to measure the valve size, and also check to see if they have the rotators on the exhaust valves. If so, remove the rotators when you do the head work. Mine have the small valves, but for low end flow velocity on the street, I prefer those over the 2.02's.

Old vart, ditto to that. Use'em, good heads. They are on my engine too. Eleven sec. street Duster with those 'old 915' castings. Terry.

my list shows them as :

3418915 340TA 1970 2.02 1.60
3418915 340 1971-72 1.88 1.60
3418915 360 1970-72 1.88 1.60

Good post outlaw. Only thing I would add is the 1971 340's used 2.020 intake valves with this head. 1972 340's used 1.880 valves, as did the 360's. Terry.
