Hi again folks. I'm getting ready to put the top end back together on my 273. The front and rear manifold cork gaskets hit the tabs on the head gaskets. Do I trim the tabs on the head gaskets or...?

Bolt the heads on. You can do 2 things...
A. Take a hammer and sharp chisel and chop them off... or B. you can bend them down to lay flat. Either way you may have to trim the width of the end seals and use rtv at the corners and across, top and bottom.

^^this, but before you do the intake, rest the intake gaskets on the heads and set the manifold on and check the china wall clearance. If you can easily slide the corks in then use them, If there is a small gap then omit them and use a silicone bead. If using an aftermarket intake check to see if clears the china wall roll pins or remove them.

I bent the tabs down on top of the cork gasket and used RTV at the ends and on top. Not saying it's right but no issues at all.
