Header to fuel line clearance

I've got maybe three inches in the current (stock) location - do I need to relocate and any thoughts/ideas (TTI's, 340). Thanks fer the help as always.

I would definetly move it. I used a laser heat indicator and found the header tubes on my car run 500+ degrees. 3" away isn't very far and in the summer it will most likely vapor lock. It will also cost you some power by the hot fuel heating up the carb resulting in a hotter/less dense intake charge.

Good idea gocirino. That may do it. That's the first time I've seen that. Seen bigger stuff but not stuff for small lines.

tried it i live i vegas and when its hot i still got vapor lock and a boiled over carb. i tried everything then moved the fuel line and all better.

Worked in Mississippi. Of course you do live in a big ol' desert LOL.

hmmm, I put a reproduction 3/8" line in mine, stock location, TTI headers, I thought it would be ok?? But then again I don't live in FL either.

We ran steel braided line inside the frame rail and problem was solved.
