Do you use washers on your headers, or locknut washers, or none at all?

My headers came with bolts, but no washers, just made me kind of wonder?

What about locktite? I know one person said that was a bad idea for the heads, just want to make sure when I tighten them for the final time.

Thanks!

Some of the header bolts go into water passages…. Front and rear bolts I think. These need a sealant or your coolant will leak out. If you are not sure which ones put sealant on all of them…. It won’t hurt anything.

I never locktite header bolts.

I can't imagine getting those locking header bolts on without a major headache on the rear driver's side. With that said, I use lock washers but have still had a bolt or two need snugging up periodically.

Sorry to hijack thread, I know some header bolts hit water jackets in stock head castings, but do you know off hand if edelbrock aluminum heads do also? It doesn't look like it when i look in with a light.
Thanks
