OK guys I have a question. What Headers are you using on a stock 4 speed? Customer with a 70 340 dart. Just wanted to know what combinations work? Or Custom headers?

Thanks

Brad

Doug's d453's. I modified the z-bar per the TTI specs. '74 Duster with a 340.

I have home made headers in my 64 340 dart 4spd. They fit pretty good. My buddy, Art Rasmussen and I drank about a case a beer, and stayed up all night about 40 years ago to make them.

Here's the modified z-bar info you need for either the TTI's or the Doug's. It's from TTI's website

Here's the one I did myself using an original. Basically you take the arm for the clutch adjuster, cut it off the Z-bar, slide it down to the very end of the z bar and reverse it so that the clutch adjuster stud faces inside instead of out and weld the arm back on. It's a pretty simple operation if you have a welder.

yeah, my homemade headers work with stock zbar, stock starter, manual stg box, and 70 340 aluminum bell housing. I do have one slip tube thru k-frame ears on the left side.
