Heading to Mopar Madness at Dragway 42

This weekend is Mopar Madness at Dragway 42. Heading there with a ton of us. Probably 8 or more racers. Gonna be a fun time and weather looks so much more comfortable than the 90 degree 4200’ days we have been racing in. Can’t wait! I hope to see some of you there.

Say hi to my buddy Rick Rondy. He will be there with his NHRA stocker Challenger. His black 64NSS car is down waiting to get motor fixed.
He will be with Dave with the KOS blue Demon.
Just talked to him couple times yesterday.

I will absolutely tell him. The blue demon is the one of nicest cars on the property.

Yep. Dave is a heck of a fabricator. The detail on that car if you look it over real close is crazy nice.
Way back when I met him he had a real nice B5 70 Roadrunner. I still owe him for the beating he put on me one night at Norwalk in the 10.0 shootout.

Weather looks promising, only pop up showers , may all your passes be lit with lightning fast reaction times and fast passes with out breaking out. Enjoy some good fellowship, and may any and all pop up showers be over 8 miles away.
 
Well yesterday was one hell of a day. Had our top sportsman team car struggle all day and couldn’t get down the track because of an issue with the trans brake. It’s a Bruno lenco setup and hopefully we will get it fixed this morning.

Time run I was .0005 on the tree 5.426
First round I was -.007 to my guys .071. Bought back in, went .003 to my guys .002. I ripped one too many times and gave him the stripe by .005.

Another team car was kicking butt but someway somehow his converter bolts came out and destroyed his flex plate and shoved the converter all the way into the trans. No clue how or why but it happened. Luckily we still have the rest of the team still together and I’m doubled today in big dog (5.60 and faster) and super pro. Hopefully I’ll find a few rounds today.

Kick some *** if there's still some to kick.
Sounds like he has a shear plate not a flex plate or that flex plate got wound up and then the bolts broke. You already know lol.

Hopefully you get a pass tonight and some lightning strikes in a video or photo ( and it doesn't distract you when you're hauling ***)
