Heat and brake lines

Just put disc brakes and TTI headers on my 60 340. Had to put on a proportioning valve and when the headers went on,one pipe is almost touching the proportioning valve. Question is how close to the valve can the exhaust be without affecting the brakes..

No rules on this stuff, but from your description that is definitely too close. Even at 2" away I would want some kind of heat shield.
