heater core question

To replace the heater core (/6 68 valiant) do I need to, or is it best to pull the entire box or can I work on it under the dash? Thanks for advise

I would pull it out it is not that hard to pull out there is a write up on here somewhere it is one of the guys with a orange duster did the write up
