Bought new heater core from 2 different parts houses and neither fit? The tubes on the 1974 core that I took out come with an upward angle for a good fit. The after market cores have a 90 degree tube angle. This would be fine if it was a square fit but mine is not. Am I going to have to bend these tubes to make it fit or am I just ordering the wrong core? Morty

Not understanding what you mean about upward angle and 90, but I will tell you I had to propane torch the solder on one tube to get it where it was supposed to be.

I'm thinking that is what I will have to do. If you lay the core flat the tubes go off at an angle away from the core rather than going straight up, at close to a right angle. Any way at least I'm not the only one having this problem. Thanks for the heads up. Morty
