Hello everyone, my name is Chris, I own a 1968 Dodge dart with a 318, I’ve had this car since about 1998 and I don’t plan on getting rid of it anytime soon. This car was built in the Los Angeles, California plant and stayed in California in that general area for its life until I picked it up. My brother bought it at the Pomona swap meet lost interest in it and I got it from him. Just have a few more things I need to finish up in it and it’ll be exactly where I want it. Hoping this group will be a treasure trove of information and knowledge.

I was at a car show a while back, and I was doing the burnout contest when I had the V8 and the 7 1/4 rear end with 13 inch tires. I could burn the tires right off the back of that when I had those small tires. And at that time, I had the automatic transmission in it. Anyhow, during the burnout contest, there was a drunk guy out in the audience, and he kept yelling at me and calling my car, sweet pea, kept saying way to go sweet pea. So the guys in my car club never stopped calling my car, sweet pea after that. So the name stuck and I will refer to my ride as sweet pea in my posts.
