So I finally got the new 408 fired up and it runs great. Backed out of garage on its own power. Parked in driveway and now absolutely nothing. No gear and no feel of it trying at all. What could it be? Front pump or torque converter? All linkage still hooked up. Topped of fluid and it all dumped out.

What exactly does that mean or entail? Drop the trans and take the front pump out?
Its probably best to give some more details on the trans. All we’ve got is that it is a 727 and it has dumped the fluid out. Im assuming it came out from the front. “All dumped out” to me is more than a seal, only time I had a 727 dump a large amount from the front is after my first attempt at a full rebuild and the bushing spun loose from the pump. I didn’t stake it correctly. (converter was installed correctly etc) Out came the trans, the pump housing and then I correctly staked a new bushing in along with another new seal. Again, I’m assuming based on the very little info you’ve provided.
