The mount you sent from ebay is that driverside for 360 mopar
How do I know this is correct when the biggest motor in a scamp was a 318?
I'm asking because I don't know

I contacted Norm by text to confirm
Waiting for.a.response
you should be good. The description fits and even warns about these not being for a 318 and that other sellers are mis advertising. The compatibility chart matches for a 71 Scamp with 360. The biscuit is thin like it should be. The pictures you posted look like some generic thick mounts that are sold online. Good luck that's a nice looking Scamp!

The driver's side is mounted in front of the block ears, and it looks like the passengers is mounted behind the block ears. That would make the motor **** eyed, that can't be good.

Wrong bracket on drivers side. Pass side looks OK. You could likely drill the existing bracket for the correct biscuit stud location and use it.

The biscuit orientation should be to the front side of the bracket. That may be why the bracket is on the front of ears. To get biscuit in the proper spot. Wrong and straight HBE... trying make the wrong parts work IMO.

340-360 drivers side mount, solid mount. You have truck style biscuits too. Makes thing more difficult as they are thicker than the OEM pieces

Steel biscuit on the driver's side, rubber on the passenger, does the same thing with less parts. Either way is better than nothing though.

There's definitely something up with the driver's side k-frame mount though. It looks like they missed welding the whole thing. Probably won't cause trouble, it's just curious.

This is my 71 before I switched the a steel biscuit. It's a V-8 k-frame.

Can you tell me what I should do just do the drivers side motor mount ?
Or do both ? There is so much information that is a little overwhelming. I need to find either the correct motor mounts or driver's side mount. I need one company to purchase Have someone or mechanic install.
The mechanics where I live act like I'm crazy asking to put motor mounts in, they don't even know which mount goes on which side uhhh

pdate this morning I started the Scamp put e brake on pushed down break pedal
Put trans in drive and the engine raised up to the right ? Then the same procedure in reverse and no lift at all
Confirmed drivers side broken mount.

Look in the FSM to see how the mount should be attached to the engine and which hole on the k frame to put the other side in

What is FSM and isn't there a easier way to order a.drivers side mount and be done with this part.

Some terminology

Motor mount is the metal that bolts to the engine block

Insulator is the rubber biscuit with the 2 bolts, there are tall ones and short ones. You need the correct ones for a small block V8 in your year car

Perch the metal welded to the k member. There are 4 or 5 types. 1 67- 73? Slant 6, 67- 73 SB V8, 67- 73 BB V8. These all use a biscuit mount.

Then
74-76 slant 6 through BB (the BB might be different) but these years use a spool mount

Disclaimer... The cutover from biscuit to spool may not have been in 73.

There is a lot of unknown info here.

1st 273 to 360 are externally the same EXCEPT the 340 and 360 motor mount tabs on the block are in a different position than 273 318 and some other not important to the task at had

If the car was originally a V8 the k member is the correct for all SBs

If the car was originally a slant 6 the k member is different than V8, there are mounts that convert the slant 6 k member to accept a V8.

So what we all need to know is what is the 5th digit in the vin.

Then really clear photos of the mounts on both sides.

FSM is factory service manual available at mymopar.com free download

The drivers side mount.... First we have to determine what you have and what you need.

The insulators are available from parts stores, Amazon, ebay, rock auto etc

The mounts are less common so if you need replacements you will have to order them from places like summit, Schumacher, jegs, and other online resellers.

The drivers side mount looks to be correct it just needs to be put on the other side of the motor mount ears, Rock auto has Bisquit's one that would work is part number 602266.

It needs to be replaced as it is too thick (wrong mount) and yes move bracket over. You may have wrong mount on other side too so check that but it looks correct to me.
