Hey all,

I went a checked out some 360 parts for sale near me today. There was a magnum block, but I think the other parts were LA.

The crank had a casting # of 418640, ther was also an X and 123 on it in other places. I cannot find anything online for that #

The rods were 3418645. I did find some info on those but not what they were originally in.

Thanks for any help,

CE

Unless its super cheap,it might be cheaper to get complete engine so you get all the roller cam parts and other stuff. I believe the cranks are the same but balance might be different. I can get number off magnum crank tomorrow when i open up. $400-$500 for complete good runner makes bare block, crank and rods cores in my mind...$100, maybe $150 if you know caps are marked, bore and crank stock.

Evan,

I have a plan brewing in my head, and you guys were part of that plan I won't go into all the details yet, and will start a new thread in the magnum section if I do, buuut the basic jist is this.

This block is .030 over and may have been decked too. The crank has been turned .010/.010 and obviously the project was never finished. I already have a complete 99 360 engine at home I was going to use for my magnum upgde. It has 140 to 160 k on it (one of the two and I cannot remember!!!!! Brain is gettin' soft!) Anyhow you see where I'm heading.

Got to find out what this crank is (LA or Mag / and what eng, etc) and plan from there.

Thanks

CE
