HELP - Kondar DZ7 and black lacquer

Now that I have my 68 Dart back in my hands I need to know from you body guys what you would do with this car. It was shot with DZ7 and then painted black lacquer to be able to see any imperfections. I want to paint it single stage but need a plan to seal, prime and then paint over this mess with out sanding it back to bare metal. Any help would be appreciated.

You selected the best option. That stuff shrinks back and only would have given you hell in the future if you planning on making this car real nice.

Like your plan of going with a single stage paint. I think it looks best on these older cars.

I really couldn't find/get a solution to the problem so i thought it best to start over. I did consider painting it with lacquer paint!
