Getting ready to change out my valve springs. I removed my rockers to inspect my current valve springs and I found that I could actually spin a few of them with my hand. I may be new at this, but that doesn't sound right to me...

Anyhow, cam specs are 0.442" intake, 0.465" exhaust, 272/282 advertised duration. It's a summit brand camshaft so I'm a little concerned about putting too much pressure on it, I'm really not sure of its durability. 120-125lbs at the installed height sounds about right to me since Mopars have larger lifter diameters. I'm not very experienced though so feel free to correct me.

I've found two sets so far that I think would work well:

Anyone have any experience with either of these springs?

Also, very important, does anyone know what type of valve locks to use on a 1978 400ci? I've read that some late model engines had three grooves on the exhaust valve and four grooves on the intake valve or something crazy like that. I plan on ordering a spring compressor with the springs, keepers, locks, and shims and I'd like to get it right the first time. Any advice here would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks FABO:prayer:
