Help me indentify this...Please...

I got this with some stuff i traded for. It looks to be a battery cover. I was wondering if anyone might think it could be a original part. I had first thought that i might been made from a set cover, but it has no pleets and pattern in it, just the grained viynl.
Please let me know what you think.

Pretty sure thats the battery cover from the rear mount battery kit in the early '70s. Pre-Direct Connection.

The guy that I dot it from said it was a rear mount battery cover. I will measure it when i get home.

May be a sweet cover, Blue boats with a gold out board , I see a shape of this Chryser 40hp in the waythe cover looks, Is it square ? This is a 70's Chryser ourboard

Its more of a rectangle than a square. I will post some measurements tommorow.

The measurements are hieght is 10" x length is 14'' x width 7.5".
I am sort of wondering if it might be from a factory race car? May not be , but was sort of confussed about the factory marks inside.
