I just got my the kit today to fix my saggy door. what i have been told is to pound out the old bushings and put in the new ones, well from what i can tell i cant see the old bushings on either half of the hinges. what half should they be on? do i have to drill out the old holes to put the bushings in? thanks

I've had to drill out the old holes when my hinges didn't already have bushings. The bushing holes need to be a tight fit around the bushings. The bushings need to be tight in the holes or they are likely to split after a short time. I can't remember the size bit I used. I suppose it would be best to measure the diameter of your bushings and use a bit just a small fraction larger. If you didn't get new pins with your kit check your old pins to see if they fit the new bushings, mine were too small. I use white grease for lube (on the hinges of course). One more thing mark the hinges as it's easy to get mixed up on them, I did.

well i got them in. i didnt have the proper size bit so I just put in the new pins on the bottom. replaced the bushings and pins on the top. I timed myself on the pass. door and it took me 15 min. I sprayed the hinges with some paint before i started so i knew where the hinges were. you can pound out the bottom hinge while it is still on the car, pound in the new one. take the bolts out of the door on the top hinge, pound out the pin and bushings and replace. went a lot easier than i was expecting actually. thanks a lot for the help and the offer to call you Mrmopartech.
