Help trying to determine date code for 340X heads

I have a set of 340X heads, casting # 894, with a date code of 12057. I am trying to determine whether that is Dec 05 1967, or the 205th day of 1967. Anybody have an answer?

Yes Dec 5 1967 they didn't used the other 4 digit code till 72
