Just bought a 73 Dart Sport and it did not have the seat belts installed. I have them in the trunk but I need some help figuring out which side goes where. It has bucket seats and I what seems to be all the part, just can't find the hole!

If anyone has a good pic of where they are installed please post them. Thanks in advance.

Crawl underneath. You can see the welded / threaded bosses from under the car. If you must, poke a nail, etc, up from underneath.

I crawled underneath an did not see any thing like that. I saw a bunch of holes plugged with plastic caps but the were no threads. I will double check again. Does the male end go on the inside towards the tunnel or towards the door in relation to the seat?

I don't know how you could miss them

I found this page in a short Google search

In this photo, look up into the center tunnel, just behind and below the brake cable going across. See that rectangular piece welded to the floor? That is one of the two inboard mounts for the front belts

One from the interior. The "nut" is on the side of the tunnel

You have a shop manual? Download one here:

More here

There are two, the body manual, and chassis manual

Another thing that might be of help is the parts book:

The male end goes on the tunnel. Retractor mounts just inside the door.

If you have an awl, you can poke around thru the carpet on the vertical surface of the tunnel down low near the floor pan.

I got the manual on my iPad, Thanks! I will pull up some carpet and look harder, it's really humid in GA and I was getting bit by yellow flys so needless to say I was rushing and probably over looked it.

I will put up a thread on Memebers Restoration. I was busy/frustrated because I wanted to go for a ride but I can't without seat belts.
