help with interior lights

The interior lights in my Barracuda 1969 is either not connected or not working. so i have a few questions. Which lights should be on when the doors are open? should the maplight only be connected to a switch or also be lightened when the doors are open? how are the glovebox light connected? there is one pink wire (+) connected to the glovebox switch.
