i have a 73 duster i am going to put on after market hood scoop on, my hood doesnt have any cutouts or holes drilled for scoop, before i mount do i have to cutout a little hole in hood to give a little relife to scoop so it isnt trying to catch all the air and blow off or just dont put any cutouts in hood, thanks by the way it is dual snorkel

Have you tried called any of your local auto-body shops for tips

If you are using the scoop for performance gains you should open it up and get some fresh air into the engine. If you just like the look, it doesn't matter. Not all scoops were open from the factory, and most that did open were also closeable. If you are useing an aftermarket scoop that just attaches to the hood with glue and bondo, I would cut a hole so the air doesn't get caught and rip it off. If it bolts on, you will be okay if you cut cut the hood.
