Hey guys I need some input on choosing a cam for my current project. First of all it is a drag race only 70 Duster, wieghs 3000 lbs ready to race. Plan on running a 360 bottom end, fully preped with KB .050 dome pistons. The car is a 4 speed set up with a McLeod soft lock adjustable clutch setup. 4:56 gears on a spool and 26/10.50/15 slicks. I have a set of race W2s never touched, I plan on a mild port job, more of a "cleanup" than anything. Victor W2 intake, 750 or 850 holley carb, and probally a set of hooker 1 3/4 headers. My goal is to run low 7s to high 6s in the eighth mile. I want to go with a solid roller to avoid the whole flat cam lobe problem. What would you guys recomend, brand and size wise. I am not totally aganst a solid flat tappet, but would rather go roller. Are there any that dont need block mods? Feel free to express your input on this!! Thanks guys!!!

I ran 7.20s with Crowers smallest solid roller, ported X-Heads and 11.7 compression.

All in my fully street trim and street weight, non stroked 340 Barracuda. (The same grandma car in my avatar)

Call Brian at Indio Motor Machine. He has a set of roller lifters that drop in a stock block, no machining. 760-342-2178

He can also fix you up with a camshaft.

I'd put a 950hp carb on it at a minimum.

I have talked to Brian and would recommend his lifters.

The lifters are Mopar specifically designed and do not require the "Oil galley tube" normally used on small blocks with solid roller cams.

He claims that lifter life is extended x5 verses other lifters because of the pressurized oil roller feed.

In fact... I will be ordering a set myself even though my block is tubed.
