Hello All,

This isn't for my Barracuda, but I wanted to get your input. I have a 98 Dodge Ram Van 1500 with the 5.2L (318) and a 47RE (I think) Automatic Transmission and I was thinking about getting some helper springs for it to help with keeping the van level while towing. I had bought Hellwig's 1000 lb helper springs for my 1992 Dodge van I had, and while it really helped, it also raised the rear of the van a little. Also, it made the rear suspension stiffer. While it made the body roll substantially less making cornering easier to control and hit the gas coming out of a corner, I'm wondering if the 1000 lb springs were a bit much. Does anyone have any experience using the 500 lb Hellwig Springs? If I am towing a heavy weight trailer, I'm usually using a Weight Distribution hitch, so that helps keep the rear end from sagging, but it still does it a little. Any suggestions?
Thanks!
