it byView attachment 1715331090 I'm new to fabo.but not Mopar. I have had my 1968 barracuda since 1989. A dream car as a kid. I bought it with my Xmas bonus and my savings. It is a 6 cylinder car originally.it had 340 727 and 8 1/4 rear.when I got it.$3000.i was a happy young man that day. I rubbed on it for a month.got married raised 4 children.everything gets in the way of me bracket racing my car. That could. I finally get serious about building a bracket car 1999. I get my friend casto to help me mini tub it and piant it again. I get a chassie guy to narrow down a 8 3/4 from a newport.and put the boxes in . The roll bar and frame connectors.worked on it for 2 years I finally get to the local track.8:68 8:68 all day..left the first day in 3rd in points. I had bracket raced a mustang in high school.but enough about the blue years.it has a w2 340 same 727 513 gear and has a best of 7:09 .went 7:17 last week.have been working on being a competitive drag racer every day. I have been close to winning the championship.runner.up 2 rounds back.winning last race just not enough rounds. I have just finished a 1976 dart sport 416 727 Dana 60 ladder bars coil overs.mini tubbed.fiberglass front decklid bumpers.12 point cage went 6:50@105 two passes.and broke a head . Ripped rocker stand out of the top of the head.a bad casing nothing there .no material when cast. I will try to load a picture of the cars.anyone with a w2 head I would like to buy it

Welcome to FABO! I used to race a 79 Mustang with a warmed up 351 Windsor with a C4 race tranny back in the mid 90's early 00's best 1/8 mile was a 7.37, best 1/4 mile was 11.85. Had lots of fun with that car for 6 years.

Keep plugging away with yours and have fun doing it. Nice looking rides you got there, enjoy them.

Thanks for the compliment on the cars.its hard not to have fun racing anything.even a ford
 
I'm thinking the head just had a bad casting and not enough material to handle 345 lbs of spring pressure.broke.the shaft into two pieces.short block is okay.thank goodness.
