Hey fellas -
So I bought my old boss' '68 and '74 Darts a few months ago, and have been working on swapping the k-frames & motors. They're both 6cyl cars, but the 74's got lower miles, the larger bolt pattern, and a 2.76 rear end. My intent is to make the 68 a daily for commuting. I know it'll never beat my CRX for mileage, but it'll make up for it.
Just today I actually pulled the motors and put the one from the 74 in place. :toothy8:
Bummer part is the cars are still at his shop due to my lack of space and his willingness to be very helpful, but it means a 1.5hr drive to work on it.
More about me: I'm a fabricator at SAR (6mos. now), and my previous job was basically the same at 99 West Customs. I love cars, obviously, and am excited to have something fun to tool around in.
I've got a 5" chopped '70 Bug that's mostly done with some discrete custom touches, a '37 Dodge p/u, and a Belly Tank. I'm mentally over the Bug, just need to sell it.
Anyways, that's enough for now I spose.
