Just wanted to say hello and introduce myself and my car. It’s my first Mopar for 21 years, I sold my 76 Chrysler Valiant Charger in Australia and have regretted it ever since! So I finally got the chance to put things right. This is my 69 Plymouth Barracuda. It’s a factory right hand drive exported to the UK.

Very nice car, and welcome aboard!

And don't let anyone give you any "lip" about having the steering wheel on the "wrong side" of the car, either!

(Not my car. I'm just the "caretaker".)

Very nice ride. I had my 73 Duster over there for 3 years. "N" registration, got one free year to drive around, so it's an N reg.
It was tough driving mine in the UK because mine was left-hand drive.

The guy I bought the Barracuda from had built a Duster tube framed race car, he used to tow the Duster to the strip with the Barracuda and then run them both.

VF? Valiant hardtop? My second favourite Aussie car after this one (that’s me with more hair and less of everything else.)

Close! It's a '71 VG Mexicana (note the Charger-like C pillars) belonging to a very good friend of mine. He imported it into the US from NZ in (....I forget when, exactly), and it's been in his family since '72. Get's a lot of looks when it's out and about around here...

Hi mate, I’ve just joined the site myself. Are you from Australia originally? Rare find a factory RHD barracuda, very nice! Was that CL Charger in the photo originally a highway patrol car?

Welcome aboard! Beautiful car, love the green and the RHD! I was in the UK a few years ago and was surprised how many late model Mopars were there, I didn’t see too many old ones though, your location says Barry70? Is that near Whales?

Welcome here. Finally I get to see how the UK requirement for amber rear turn signals on vehicles first registered after a certain date in 1965 was handled on the Baccarudas sent there!

What engine has it got?

Yes, heading back there soon, the Charger wasn’t a cop car, that’s the original Old English White colour. I’ve been on the hunt for an RHD for several years.

I think these are from the previous owner, from old photos, the indicators were positioned below the bumper. It’s a 318, with a 4barrel Holley carb and manifold.

Once you start looking, I’ve been amazed at how many older models pop up, I’ve heard of at least 12 RHD cars so far.

think i saw the gold fast back (dart ) it carislie pa 2 years ago (i think)
the cuda ... is cool its looks like a 73 dart swinger dash
funny the little changes they do
the extra lights on back look add on

It looks like a CM grille on that Charger?Or maybe the CL Charger had that honeycomb style grille, which the CM then got. Getting harder to remember all that stuff!
