I have a solid lead on a pair of 340 manifolds. I saw them and gave them the once over and they look good overall. The only thing I noticed was that round weight and flap in the right manifold was taken out and the holes were plugged. I dont care about that as much as I care about if they will fit.
What numbers do I look for on them to be sure. The left one appears to be like all the other manifolds I have seen on A bodies with 340s but the right one appears to look like a mini header. I saw one like it on a Challenger T.A. Does anyone know if these will fit on a 70 Swinger with a small block in it? Thanks.
Chas.

They should fit your Swinger no problem. You can make them fit on an early A, so a later a-body is a piece of cake!

I do believe they will. I searched for a while for some reasonably priced ones to no avail for my 72 Dart with a small block. I ended up getting Dougs headers.

Right: 2863549
Left: 2863553

These are the Hi-Po manifolds for 340 Dart, Dusters, Demons etc.
They were also on Challenger 340 cars.

Johnny Dart, Lilcuda, and Dart Dale, thanks for the info and nice looking motor by the way.
Turns out I found the correct manifolds as the numbers are the same as what is on that 340 in the picture and look the same. There is some pitting but is pretty mild. Some of the letters are rubbed down a bit on the right manifold but can still be read easily. I did buy them and will have them blasted and coated for the install. $250.00 too much to pay for them? One guy said I was ripped off but with Dougs Headers at $550.00 and TTI at $700.00 plus I figure out I am getting off cheap in the big picture anyway. Now if I can find an a body 8 3/4 with a 323 grip for my Swinger in an affordable range my search will about be complete for the transition from slant to small block.
Thanks again for the help!
Chas.

If you got them for $250 and they are the early 340 manifolds then you got a great deal.

You got a great deal on the manifolds. You might want to check into the Special bolt, spacer & washer kit for attaching them. I've seen it listed for around $55, IIRC.

yeah, you got a good deal.....I sold a set of 340 Hi-Po exhaust manifolds off a 69' 340 Swinger for $350 plus shipping a year or so ago....8)
