Went to Cabella's today thinking of getting an AR, and ended up picking up two of these. Everything you see in the picture, for 519.99 + tax. Hoping our background comes back sooner rather than later, so we can get to the range and get some time with them. Going to apply for our CPL on Friday ( my next day off ) and see if we can speed up the process a bit.

M&P series for you and the wife. Nice , and a good buy too. what caliber?? I bought a stag arms M-4 carbine awhile back thats a lefty. Pretty cool. Everythings the same as a regular AR except the upper reciever and bolt assembly. Which are mirror opposite. Looking for a nice compact semi auto for my wife to carry.

They had two calibers with the kit. 9mm, and .40. We both got the 9. I have a small frame and she has muscle issues on her left side. Figured the light recoil would be easier on her, and having two of the same would be easier on ammunition. If I can get off early tomorrow ( [-o<[-o<[-o< ) then we both go to the Sheriffs office and apply for our concealed pistol license. That gets approved, we go pick up our new fire arms, and head to the firing range to get some brake in done.

Monday was a Holiday... go figure. Today, get off an hour after they close. Next day off is Friday, so I'm going to plan on that. If I can get in sooner, that will help a couple days anyway.

That's why I love Ohio! walk in and pick out a gun, pay for it and go home! All in the same day no less! Hell, within just a few minutes of picking it out! The best part, buy a holster and carry it out on your hip. Ohio is an open carry state too!

Washington State is an open carry state as well, as long as it is visible from three sides. I ware a coat a lot, so I'm not taking any chances and getting the CPL. One of the sales guys told me that the sheriffs office here in town got his CPL approved that day, but RCW says it has to be mailed to the residence via snail mail.

We shall see on Friday...

Put in for our concealed pistol licenses yesterday. Now, for the wait till it comes in the mail.

Picked up our pistols last week ( NO, NSA, we did not. ) Took three weeks for them to get out concealed pistol licenses to us. Still haven't fired a single round, as I was reassigned to a new area, 203 miles from home. The good news is, I get per diem. $210 a week. Went out and found this:

Matches well with the M&P 9's we got, I think :D

5 weeks and I bring it home...

Nothing more comforting in your golden years than having trained and well armed Son's in the house.:supz:
Red Bull's, weapons and women is the theme I guess.
That rifle is a Romanian AK 7.62 with back to back 30 round mags and the pistol is a .22 cal German made target pistol that I can't remember the name of.
The younger one preferes close combat 12 gauges.

My wife loves my S&W MP9 I bought awhile back. I ended up buying a S&W MP22 for her to plink with. She's definitely a S&W fan. Can't go wrong with the price, it's a quality gun.

Went through a couple boxes of ammo today, and found out two things. Ammunition goes pretty fast, and I SUCK at shooting. :sad1: Of the 83 rounds I fired today, I probably landed 11 or 12 inside the circles. WOW...I need a LOT of practice...

Ordered a new AR build this week. So far, Anderson Manufacturing upper, lower, and I thing BCG. Voodoo 16" M4 profile 1/7 twist barrel, milspec charging handle, LP gas block, CMMG 2 stage trigger, Magpul stock, handle, and angled fore grip, flip up sights, 13" rail made by Odinworks ( can't remember the vendor tho )

Got the lower done, but the guy didn't have a roll pin for the LP gas block. He said he SHOULD have the weapon finished either today, or early next week. So, I'm taking my M&P home and giving it to my better half this weekend.

Didn't have the muzzle brake. I paid 200 on it and promptly added that much in accessories LOL.

Love it. My wife and myself both have CWP I carry a Ruger LCP 380 and she has the LC9
And I have a Walther p22 love all of them
NC is also a open Cary State

As posted able, we both got our CWP back in March and both have the Smith & Wesson M&P 9mm. I am looking at maybe picking up another pistol or two, to have around the house, you know ;)

I got the S&W M&P 15 because it was a match to the 9mm we have, and would be easier for her to swallow, as it matches her pistol :D. Then, I commissioned this build for me. I can't wait to get out to the range and fire it :D

And it is home...

Finally got to the range today. Fired about 140 rounds through it, .223, and 5.56. the tighter grouping is 25 yards, the lose group is 50 yards. I still need to zero in the sights. Gonna try and get an optic for it if I stay through the rest of the summer. If not, I will have to save up till probably December for a good optic.

Also fired about 120 rounds through the 9mm. I'm getting better, but have a LONG way to go.

http://www.themakogroup.com/Detail.aspx?PROD=1042636&CAT=8666

I have one and it can hold its 10 mag it came with as well as any other AR mag. This way it will always have some rounds for it. They also make one for the AK.
