Cleaned out a bunch of junk from a friends place and got a digital paint scale, he owns body shops and is always getting new equipment. Both of my digital scale took a dump about a month apart and I really needed a new one, this is a 7200 gram scale reads down to a tenth of a gram. checked it with a 100 gram test weight and it reads 0.1 low and I don't think that will bother me at all for free.

If you wanted, you can probably calibrate the scale pretty easily. Assuming the standard 100g weight you've got is accurate.

Nice score. With your good luck you should buy a lottery ticket.

I'm going to see if I can find the instruction for it online when I get a chance, That weight is for calibrating scales so it should be accurate.

I think it needs to be calibrated for your location, because it's not like a balance scale, it reads directly. There are variations in gravity all over the earth, so it doesn't surprise me that it would be off .1 g.
