Hockey talk...Kinda

Here is that thing. Im from Vancouver BC. and if someone asked me who my team was, I would say the Canucks.

But they have pissed me off so much for the last 5 years that I just stopped watching hockey 4 years ago. I think they are a waste of time. i want someone that isn't Bies towards the team to tell me what they really think.

Here is what I think...
1. We can't win the cup with Roberto...We need him and some good power forwards...not JUST roberto.
2. I don't think he is the Number 1 goalie, but most local people say he is.
3. I think our GM makes pretty poor decisions. we need some real key players with good experience
4. I think Vancouver is cursed with Hockey.
5. Our team really isn't that good right now, and we need some emprovements. ( I don't watch the games...just going from what I see on highlights, and our roaster.

So what do you think? Looking for NON canuck fan input here?

Well you sir are not a true hockey fan.............. I love hockey now I feel your pain, but being a Toronto maple fan its tough they have lost all of there games so far but I cant give up on them why because I am a real hockey fan.Now get back on the ice and CHEER your team.GO LEAFS GO.know what I mean Vern.

1. We need some more Canadian players who aren't going to disappear come playoff time. Sedins don't cut it.

2. Luongo is one of the best goalies in the world. Tough start this season but report back in a month or two and let us know what you think then.

3. When Gillis makes moves he's left me shaking my head but so far he's been fairly successful. The team looks a lot better than they did 2 years ago. Demitra was a mistake.

4. Vancouver may be cursed with hockey but I believe the root of their problem is that they are trying to build the team around Euros.

5. The team has struggled out of the gates but take back two or three bad games by Luongo and this team would be about average right now.

They aren't as bad as some teams out there. I don't think they have the winning combination right now either. They are more fun to watch now than a few years back.

I wouldn't call myself not a true hockey fan. Its kinda like this...

If you had a car that you were working on, and as you worked on it you found more and more problems with it. You look up the history of the car and there has only been a couple good years ( 94 Series)

You don't really have the time for the car, nor do you want to keep spending small amounts of money on it ( Beers at the bar/ payperview) so rather than do anything else with it You just place it a carport in the back yard and not touch it.

you don't want to get rid of it because you have some centimental value. But everytime you look at it you start to get upset ( canucks)

You still enjoy going to car shows. (watching HIghlights on TV) and you have a couple simular cars allready that you play around with and drive ( I'm in a Mens hockey league)

Does that make you NOT a car guy???!!!?? I'm still a hockey guy...just anoid with the team and don't want to waste my time or money with them right now untill I see a significant change.
