Hole shot/No shot

Hey guys, Im running a 650cfm holley on my sb 318. I am having a problem with initial take off. I have perfect response and power above 2000rpm. anything lower than that and she dies for a sec then comes up slowly. I have checked for vacumm leaks and have not found any. I have just over 6lbs of fuel pressure. The carb is a dual feed single pumper. My timing is set to about 24btdc Any advice. Thanks in advance.

thats a whole lot of initial timing, does that thing crank up fine? should be 10-14*. Is it only when you dead floor it, or can you 'roll' into throttle and it runs good

either your secondary spring is not strong enough, or you need to put a bigger squirter in the accelerator pump circuit.

Need more engine build and driveline info! Also, what primary jets and power valve are you running? If the carb is stock, get us a list number (should be stamped on the air horn).
