It IS aerating the fluid, but how much that much matters I'm not sure, but the smaller the bubbles the longer they take to clear out. (I see a possibility of a light lean condition on a hard and fast pull down the track.)
When he picks the mat up you can see foam forming in the corner of the tank, as well as the fluid in the return hose gets milky looking.
Still pretty cool though.
