Has anyone used a Holley 1904 on the Slant Six? The fuel bowls are glass and interchange with the 1920. Will the 1904 as a whole work on the Slant? I think it looks cool and allows you to see the float level.
Scares me to death... think there may be a reason race sanctioning bodies don’t allow glass body fuel filters? Given the proximity of the carburetor to the exhaust manifold on a slant six, ain’t a flag big or red enough ...
The 1920 is just an upgraded 1904. I've got a 1904 on my F100, and they share a lot of parts. I plan on swapping the 1920 on my slant over to the F100 when I upgrade to the Super 6, the slant runs a lot better than the F100. (probably because I rebuilt the 1920, but haven't gone through the 1904 in the 8 years I've owned the truck)
The glass fuel bowl models are pretty desirable to the right people.
