So I was about to adjust my air fuel ratio on my slant six when I noticed that the a/f mixture screw on the Holley 1920 was stuck. I could get it to move a bit with a pair of pliers but it is still pretty jammed.
Im not very familiar with carburetos and Im wondering if I just can take it out and clean it, or is there something that have to be taken into consideration?

Spray the screw with wd-40 or some penetrating oil, work it back and forth SLOWLY, pull it and try to clean the seat with carb cleaner and put it back in and go from there.

Got it out luckily in one piece. Sprayed penetraiting oil and worked it back and forth with a pair of pliers as halifax said and it started to loosen up after 1 whole turn.

Cleaned the threads and put it back in. Works like a dream again. Noticed some dmg to the threads but it was so far up it didnt even get in when the screw was seated.

Its just a great feeling when you can open something that has been untouched for a couple of decades and not break it. :)
