My Holley 390 4160 accelerator linkage hangs up going back to idle, from cruise. It holds the idle to 1100 RPM. I can get it to drop down to low idle (850 RPM) if I blip the throttle. I have a 3/4" 4 hole plastic spacer on an Offenhauser manifold. I saw mentioned somewhere that the spacer might be catching the throttle plates. If this is the problem, how do I fix this?

You would need to find out where the interference is, them grind on the spacer till you have clearence.

The 390's have some small throttle blades so I doubt that's it. If you have the time I would take off the carb and see if it binds or hangs up in your hand. It could be alot of things like gummed up throttle shafts, not enough return spring pressure or even the throttle cable itself has a kink in it or just dirty.

As Street Demon said, check the return spring. I had the same problem when I pieced together a 4 barrel setup on my old 73 Satellite.
