Holley 4160...secondary gasket blocking hole on main bodys

Pulling apart my holley 4160 carb on the secondary side and I noticed that the holley gasket was actually blocking off an open hole on the carb's main body.

Can anyone tell me what the purpose of this hole is and if it should be blocked or not?

It looks like may for an alignment pin??

Hard to tell in the pic, but does that hole go anywhere? It does look like the alignment hole for a metering block.

It's for an alignment stud on the metering block. Line up the red circles in this picture and your gasket will work. You had it flipped 180*.
